Over 800 million pounds recycled since 1990....heading for a billion!
Conigliaro Engineering began in 1990 as a recycling services firm, dedicated to the removal of office paper waste. Over time, this led to Conigliaro Engineering pioneering the brand new field of “Total Recycling”.
After incorporating under the new name Conigliaro Industries, Inc. on January 1, 1991, the firm’s focus changed towards providing plastic, metal, glass, and paper recycling in an effort to offer clients “one-stop-shopping”. Since that time, the list of acceptable recyclables has expanded to 150 different plastic, metal, glass, rubber, wood, corrugated, paper and textile materials.
Conigliaro Industries helps organizations reach their sustainability goals by attacking the last 10-20% of the waste stream. Unlike traditional recyclers that focus on straightforward waste streams like corrugated cardboard and metal, we specialize in recycling difficult wastes. Customers that have a unique material that comprises a measurable portion of their waste stream often call on us to implement a customer-specific collection, transportation, processing and recycling program for their unique waste(s).
A family owned and operated business, Conigliaro Industries has grown from one to 35 employees and now owns and operates a fully permitted 88,000 square foot Material Recovery Facility, Transportation and Logistics Center in Framingham, Massachusetts.
The facility includes two large tipping pads, 20 loading docks, a Slow Speed, High Torque, ShredPax AZ-80 Shredding Plant, a Retech Horizontal Drum Shredding Plant, a Marathon Two Ram TR-10 Baler with conveyor pit and sorting station, A Product and Paper Records Destruction Plant, an EPS Plastic Densification Plant, a Multi-Material Sorting Hall as well as a wide range of heavy equipment including Excavators and Loaders.
Now in its 34th year of operation, Conigliaro Industries serves hundreds of industrial, institutional, and municipal customers and contractors across New England.
Regardless of the material or the current state of recyclable commodity markets, Conigliaro Industries continues to expand and create recycling solutions. With some of our customers achieving 90% recycling rates, we continue to seek our two main corporate goals - eliminating the need for landfills and helping our customers move closer to their Zero-Waste goal.

Greg started the company on the 20th Anniversary of Earth Day in 1990. Thirty four years later he is still at the helm, pushing towards his goal of recycling over one billion pounds of material!
